About NHCC logo

The NHCC logo represents the transformation from brokenness to wholeness that occurs when we entrust and surrender our cares and pain to Christ. Because our humanity is imperfect (Romans 3:23) and vulnerable (Psalm 109:22), we experience brokenness, shame, guilt, and fear; thus, the small blue broken heart. The cross, which symbolizes Christ’s suffering, dying on the cross, and rising again to conquer death redeems (Ephesians 1:7), heals (Psalm 147:3), and frees us (John 8:32). One arm of the cross is holding on to the broken cross reminding us that our pain is not in vain. We may never forget our past, but it doesn’t have to control us or determine our future (2 Corinthians 5:17). God uses our brokenness and pain to transforms it all to wholeness (Isaiah 61:3), symbolized by the bold, confident, and strong purple heart. The Bible says “we are a royal priesthood” (I Peter 2:9) and heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17); thus, the whole heart is purple which represents royalty.
